Offices for Mondadori Editore

As a non-commissioned work, the Palacio Mondadori project was a labor of love for our team. We were inspired by the work of Oscar Niemeyer, whose architectural philosophy we studied extensively during our time in architecture school. The Palacio Mondadori is a continuation of Niemeyer's work in Brazil, and we were drawn to the building's unique approach to external concrete structure. The building's core is suspended in the middle, creating a sense of lightness that belies its concrete facade.

We approached the project with great reverence for Niemeyer's vision. The repetition of columns allows for frontal transparency in the glass offices, while also creating the appearance of a closed building from the side.
